Rina Amiri in a Twitter post on Friday, February 4, 2022, also asked for the release of women activists who she believes to be detained by the Taliban in Afghanistan.

"This unjust detention must stop. If the Taliban seek legitimacy from the Afghan people and the world, they must stop unjust detention and respect Afghans’ human rights especially for women- including the freedom of expression and immediately these women, their relatives, and other activists." Reads the Tweet.

This comes as two women recently disappeared in Kabul on Thursday.

The UNAMA has also expressed concern over the disappearance of women activists in Kabul and asked for the women and their relatives to be freed.

"Urgent information sought from @moiafghanistan today by UNAMA on a latest reported detention over the last 24 hours by the Taliban of a further two women in Kabul. UN repeats its call for all ‘disappeared’ women activists and relatives to be released." Reads a Twitter post by UNAMA.

Not only the women activists but Afghan journalists have also been disappeared in Kabul but the Taliban have been denying the detention.
