 Turkmenistan delegation visiting Kabul to assess TAPI

A Turkmen delegation headed by the Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan arrived in Kabul on Saturday, January 8, 2022, and is supposed to meet with Taliban officials over the development of TAPI.

The delegation has reportedly visited the western Herat province before landing in the Afghan capital Kabul.

The Head of commerce chamber of Herat province has said that the head of TAPI is also part of the Turkmen delegation to Afghanistan.

Turkmenistan Deputy Foreign Minister has said that security is a key element for implementing the TAPI project and that Afghanistan is now a secure country for the project to get started.

Earlier, officials of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan had said that they are working harder to start the project so that it helps Afghanistan’s economy to flourish.

As per information, Afghanistan will make hundreds of millions of dollars once the TAPI project gets started.

Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India (TAPI) is one of the biggest economic projects in the region that carries gas from Turkmenistan to Pakistan and Indian through Afghanistan.
