It only took the Citizens 6 minutes to open the scoring, when Kevin De Bruyne sent home a beautiful curl. Minutes later, Riyad Mahrez kept his nerve to score a penalty and double City’s lead.

Pep Guardiola’s men extended their lead to three goals in the 21st minute, when Ilkay Gundogan side-footed a rebound. Raheem Sterling added another for the hosts as he sent the spot-kick into the top right corner.

But Leicester decided it was time to fight back, and James Maddison fired from close range to make it 4-1 on 55 minutes. The comeback of the foxes continued, with Ademola Lookman penetrating City’s defense right before the hour-mark.

After 65 minutes of play, Kelechi Iheanacho arrived on time to pick up Maddison’s attempt. Aymeric Laporte perfectly adjusted himself with a free-kick to head home City’s fifth goal.

The last goal of this action-packed match came late, when Sterling scored Manchester’s sixth. The victors are now 6 points clear at the top of the table,, while Leicester sit at 10th, 25 points below the leaders.
