The 2026 Golden Globe nominations are officially out.

Actor Marlon Wayans and actress Skye P. Marshall revealed the nominations on Monday, live from Los Angeles, where the awards show will take place on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026.

On the film side, "One Battle After Another" leads all film categories with nine nominations, including best motion picture (musical or comedy) and best director.

The blockbuster hit "Wicked: For Good" did not receive a nomination for best musical or comedy film, nor did its director Jon M. Chu. However, the movie`s two stars, Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, were nominated for their roles.

The film was also nominated for the award for cinematic and box office achievement.

On the television side, "The White Lotus" leads with six nominations, including best television series (drama).

For the first time, the Golden Globes will honor podcasting in a new category, with names like Dax Shepard, Amy Poehler, NPR and more earning nods.

When are the 2026 Golden Globes?

The 83rd annual Golden Globe Awards will air on Sunday, Jan. 11 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, on CBS.

The show will be hosted again by comedian Nikki Glaser.

Leading up to the awards show - dubbed "Hollywood`s Party of the Year" - celebratory kickoff events will take place for what is being called Golden Week. Events will include "Golden Eve," which will honor Sarah Jessica Parker with the 2026 Carol Burnett Award and Helen Mirren with the 2026 Cecil B. DeMille Award.

"Golden Eve" will air Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026, on CBS and stream on Paramount+.

 

Who won at the 2025 Golden Globes?

At the 2025 Golden Globes earlier this year, "Emilia Pérez," "The Brutalist" and "Shōgun" were the big winners, taking home several awards each.

Brady Corbet`s "The Brutalist" took home the award for best motion picture (drama), while Jacques Audiard`s "Emilia Pérez" won best motion picture (musical or comedy).

On the TV side, "Shōgun" won best television series (drama), while "Hacks" scored the award for best television series (musical or comedy). "Baby Reindeer" won best limited series, anthology series or motion picture made for television.
