President Trump on Monday lashed out at Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) after she appeared on "60 Minutes" to discuss her rift with the president and decision to retire from Congress in January.

"The only reason Marjorie ‘Traitor` Brown (Green turns Brown under stress!) went BAD is that she was JILTED by the President of the United States (Certainly not the first time she has been jilted!)," Trump posted on Truth Social.

"Too much work, not enough time, and her ideas are, NOW, really BAD - She sort of reminds me of a Rotten Apple!" he added. "Marjorie is not AMERICA FIRST or MAGA, because nobody could have changed her views so fast, and her new views are those of a very dumb person."

Trump went on to bash "60 Minutes" correspondent Lesley Stahl, who conducted a contentious interview of Trump during the 2020 campaign, when the two clashed over the veracity of allegations about Hunter Biden.

"My real problem with the show, however, wasn`t the low IQ traitor," Trump said of Greene, "it was that the new ownership of 60 Minutes, Paramount, would allow a show like this to air. THEY ARE NO BETTER THAN THE OLD OWNERSHIP, who just paid me millions of Dollars for FAKE REPORTING about your favorite President, ME!"

Paramount Global, the parent company of CBS News agreed earlier this year to settle a high-profile lawsuit brought by Trump over a "60 Minutes" interview with former Vice President Kamala Harris that aired last fall.

Greene had for years been one of Trump`s staunchest supporters in the House, but she has in recent months become an outspoken critic, particularly over his foreign policy and handling of cost of living issues.

The congresswoman told "60 Minutes" that Trump`s repeated attacks on her, describing her as a "traitor," has led to death threats against her family.

"Those were death threats directly fueled by President Trump," Greene said.

Greene in a late Monday morning post on X proclaimed: "I AM AMERICA FIRST."

"Thank you for your attention to this matter," she said, adding a tagline frequently used by the president.
