
The Afghanistan Under-17 national futsal team has made history by defeating Iran 2-1 in the final match of the Asian Futsal Championship, clinching the title for the first time ever.
According to AnsarPress, the final match was held on Thursday night at the Khalifa Sports City Arena in Manama, the capital of Bahrain.
Afghanistan took the lead in the first half, finishing 1-0 ahead of Iran. In the second half, the Afghan side extended their lead with a second goal, while the Iranian team managed to pull one back later in the game.
Despite Iran`s efforts to equalize, the match ended 2-1 in favor of Afghanistan, securing the country`s first-ever continental championship in futsal.
