Trump: Solving the War Between Pakistan and Afghanistan Would Be Easy for Me

Donald Trump, the President of the United States, said during a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House that he is aware Pakistan has attacked Afghanistan, and claimed that resolving the conflict would be easy for him.
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday evening, Trump said:
“That would be an easy one for me to solve… I love solving wars.”
He added that he wants to stop the killing of people and claimed credit for saving millions of lives through his previous peace initiatives.
Trump’s remarks come as Pakistan renewed airstrikes on Afghan territory late Wednesday, just hours after a two-day ceasefire with the Taliban expired.
According to sources cited by AnsarPress, Pakistani forces targeted areas in the Bermal and Argun districts of Paktika Province, located in eastern Afghanistan.
The attacks reportedly killed at least 12 people and wounded eight others.
The state-run National Television of Afghanistan, which operates under Taliban control, reported that the bombings hit residential homes and a local cricket team.
The escalation underscores the fragility of the ceasefire and the growing volatility along the Afghanistan–Pakistan border, as international actors — including Washington — express renewed interest in mediating the conflict amid mounting civilian casualties.
