Analyst: No evidence that Zionist lobby is losing its grip on US Congress

An American political commentator says he sees "absolutely no evidence that the Zionist lobby is losing its grip on the American Congress," as former US President Donald Trump has suggested.

Trump said in a recent interview with an Israeli journalist that Israels "absolute power over Congress" had declined under the administration of Barack Obama and has slid further under the administration of Joe Biden.

He also said that the majority of American Jews vote for Democratic candidates but they "either dont like Israel or dont care about Israel."

Trump made the remarks in a recent interview with journalist Barak Ravid, who recently published a book about his administrations Abraham Accords treaties between Israel and certain Arab countries.

Trump claimed that evangelical Christians in the United States "love Israel more than the Jews" - a group that Trump considers a pillar of his political base.

Trump said Israels influence in Congress has waned and blamed Obama and Biden for it.

Mark Dankof, who is also a broadcaster and pastor in San Antonio, Texas, said in an interview with Press TV on Tuesday that Israel has a stranglehold on the foreign policy of the United States through both of the major parties, and he called Trump an "idiot" for lamenting that Israels influence over the US Congress has declined.

"Trumps remarks indicate that hes an even bigger idiot than previously suspected. In the first place, no truly ‘America First candidate would be in the back pocket of the Israeli lobby, the 3rd Temple crackpots, and the Dispensational Premillennial crowd in American evangelicalism. Historic Christianity does not recognize this 19th-century eschatological heresy as theologically valid; worse yet, its adherents are advocating something at the very center of the drive toward the world government. I will say once again for Press TV: Charles Lindbergh was ‘America First. Pat Buchanan is ‘America First. Donald Trump is a complete Zio-Fraud using this term for his own duplicitous political purposes," Dankof said.

"I see absolutely no evidence that the Zionist lobby is losing its grip on the American Congress or the leadership of either major political party. The JCPOA treaty is a classic example. Trump illegitimately withdrew the United States from that multilateral deal and imposed sanctions on Iran, which upheld its end of the bargain. Biden said he would return the United States to the treaty, and then proceeded with his Zionist Secretary of State, and Ms. Victoria Nuland and Ms. Wendy Sherman to attach so many additional conditions and terms as to make it impossible for Iran to agree to the charade involved," he stated.

"It is the same story with American duplicity over Ukraine and Eastern Europe with Vladimir Putin and Russia. In both of these cases, global war is the likely outcome. And rest assured that GOP or Democrat, Trump or Biden, the American Zio War Party is in complete control. This is to the detriment of the average American, and the world at large," he concluded.
