British Politicians have come out in force to condemn anti-Semitism after a video online appeared to show people shouting anti-Semitic abuse from a car in London but have been reluctant to condemn the Israeli onslaught against the people of Gaza.

Four people have been arrested after police investigated a video showing anti-Semitic language being shouted from a convoy of cars covered with Palestinian flags down the Finchley Road, in North London. The passengers were heard shouting offensive statements and threats against the Jewish people.

The incident has received widespread condemnation from British MPs and Government Ministers alike.

Yet for some what’s more worrying is the fact that this stunt carried out by a handful of anti-Semites who have already been arrested, has received more condemnation than more than 200 Palestinians killed in the besieged Gaza Strip by Israeli forces.

Unsurprisingly the Conservative government minister Robert Jenrick attempted to use the incident to conflate anti-Zionism with anti-Semitism.

The vile anti-Semitism that was on full display on this road, has rightfully captured the attention of all sides of the British political establishment with government ministers vowing to take action, the question that many will be asking is what will it take in the suffering of the Palestinian people to receive equal condemnation.
