US unable to paralyze Iranian nation: Leader
US unable to paralyze Iranian nation: Leader

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says the United States and other powers will never be capable of "crippling the Iranian nation through pressure."

"If we activate domestic potential and focus on local capabilities, the US and other powers will not be capable of doing a damn thing, whether military or non-military," Ayatollah Khamenei said in a meeting with thousands of the Iranian people from all walks of life, including folks from the western province of Ilam, on Tuesday.

"Powers must know that the Iranian nation will never be brought to its knees because the Iranian nation is a lively nation, and the country's youth are treading the right path," Ayatollah Khamenei added.

By paying heed to such facts and realities, the Leader noted the iconic remark by the founder of the Islamic Republic, the late Imam Khomeini, that "America cannot do a damn thing" can be realized.

Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized the importance of relying on the capabilities and talents of the Iranian youth, saying the country's progress in the fields of nuclear know-how, medicine, stem cells, nanotechnology and defense industry, is a clear example of reliance on home-grown talents.
