Afghan cricket team brings home ACC Premier League championship trophy

The Afghanistan national cricket team brought the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Premier League championship trophy on Friday.

The Afghan team was received was by Afghanistan Cricket Board officials, Afghan parliament members and Afghan business in Kabul international airport.

Afghanistan Cricket Board Chairman, Shahzada Masoud welcomed the Afghan cricket team at Kabul airport and said the Afghan national team has once again made the Afghan nation proud and delighted with their victory in ACC Premier League championship.

Afghanistan defeated Nepal in the final match of the Asian cricket Council (ACC) Premier League by 108 runs on Wednesday.

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Premier League comprised of 15 matches which was played among all teams in 50-over format.

The Afghan team played five matches in the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Premier League against Hong Kong, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Oman and Nepal.

Afghanistan lost its only match against the host Malaysia in the ACC Premier League.
