The former Pakistani cricket captain Aamer Sohail has joined the Afghanistan cricket team as short time batting coach.

The Afghan Cricket Board (ACB) said Wednesday that Aamer Sohail will join the Afghan cricketers in a training camp in Pakistan.

ACB officials said the training camp in Pakistan has been arranged for the Afghan cricketers to prepare for ACC Premier League.

Aamer Sohail is a former professional Pakistani cricketer who has played 156 One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and 47 Test matches.
