Colorful tulips spread over hundreds of hectares of land are in full bloom; awaiting visitors Asia’s largest tulip garden on the banks of infamous Dal lake wears a deserted look as people in the region are strictly following the WHO guidelines to stop the spread of novel Coronavirus.

COVID19 lockdown spoils Kashmir’s picturesque spring season

The region has recorded around 280 positive cases and 14 recoveries so far.

Also, a huge number of people with travel history have been kept in isolation and quarantine centers.

Keeping in consideration the regions poor health care system the regions administration is trying its best to impose lockdown in order to stop the virus spread.

Meanwhile areas that recorded positive cases of corona virus have been declared red zone by the government and have completely curtailed the movement of people in or out of the affected areas.

Used to frequent lockdowns, people of Kashmir are strictly following the guideline of staying home so as to stop the spread.

In Kashmir, life remains suspended completely with only essential services being allowed to operate. Security forces have been deployed across the region so as to avoid any outdoor movement of the people.

Following the pandemic, the lockdown across the globe has forced people to stay indoors, shut businesses and avoid physical contacts. Analysts warn of world slipping into serious financial crisis if the lockdown continues for long.
