Taliban Warns: Any Pakistani Attack on Afghanistan

Following the departure of Pakistan`s delegation from peace talks in Istanbul, tensions between Kabul and Islamabad have sharply escalated.

According to AnsarPress, Abdul Matin Qani, the spokesperson for the Taliban`s Ministry of Interior, declared that Afghanistan will not tolerate any attacks launched from outside its borders.

Qani stated:

"Any attack from Pakistan will serve as a lesson for that country - and a warning to others. Yes, we do not possess nuclear weapons, but neither NATO nor the United States was able to subdue Afghanistan. Despite 20 years of war, the Afghan people have never bowed to anyone."

His remarks came shortly after the Pakistani delegation withdrew from the Istanbul peace negotiations with the Taliban.

According to a source familiar with the talks, the Pakistani side left the negotiating table after presenting demands that the Afghan delegation deemed unjustified and unacceptable.

In particular, Pakistan demanded that Afghanistan expel or restrain members of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) - the Pakistani Taliban - and also sought permission to conduct drone strikes against TTP fighters allegedly operating inside Afghan territory.

The Afghan delegation rejected these requests, insisting that TTP does not use Afghan soil as a base of operations, and that combating the group is an internal issue belonging solely to Pakistan.

Analysts note that this latest exchange reflects the collapse of trust between the two countries and the growing possibility of direct confrontation along their shared border, especially as both sides adopt increasingly nationalistic and defiant rhetoric following the failure of the Istanbul talks.
