The Chief Executive of the Government of National Unity Abdullah Abdullah arrived to New Delhi, the capital city of India, to participate in trade exhibition and meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Office of the Chief Executive confirmed that Abdullah arrived to New Dehi and will participate in Afghanistan-India trade and investment show.

He will also meet with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss the issues of bilateral interest.

According to reports, Abdullah was expected to visit India on Wednesday but his flight was cancelled after the attack on Hamid Karzai International Airport.

The attack by militants was launched at around 11:10 am and continued until late evening of the same day.

The security officials are saying that the attack was launched by a group of at least four militants who had taken position inside a residential house.

The ministry of interior spokesman Najib Danish confirmed last night that one civilian was killed and eleven others were wounded during the attack, citing the preliminary information received by the ministry.

The Taliban group spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid claimed that the plane of US defense secretary James Mattis was the target.
