According to Voice of America (VOA), the planned documentary will cover their background and private lives, where they come from and what they have achieved. The Afghan ambassador to India Shaida Abdali told VOA that the plan has been accepted and the shooting of the documentary will start soon. Abdali said India's foreign affairs has put out the tender to both Indian production companies and foreign ones. Abdali told VOA that the budget has not however been finalized but that the Indian government will cover the costs. The main aim of the documentary is to portray the progress of cricket in the war-torn country and to illustrate the progress made in cricket in Afghanistan in recent years, Abdali told VOA. Nabi was bought at this year's IPL auction for three million Indian Rupees ($46,000 USD) and Rashid for 40 million Indian Rupees ($600,000 USD).
