Atlético Madrid opened the scoring in the 20th minute through Alex Baena, before Barcelona quickly equalized in the 26th minute through Raphinha following an excellent pass from Pedri.

The 36th minute saw Robert Lewandowski miss a penalty that could have given the team the lead before the end of the first half.

In the second half, Dani Olmo succeeded in scoring Barcelona`s second goal in the 65th minute, while Ferran Torres managed to score the third goal in the 90+6 minute, granting his team three important points in the race for the title.

With this victory, Barcelona raised its total to 37 points at the top of the Spanish League table, while Atlético Madrid remained at 31 points in fourth place.

Barcelona`s match against Atletico Madrid witnessed an unfortunate incident after Dani Olmo got injured immediately after scoring the leading goal, according to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo".

Barcelona started the second half strongly after a good first 45 minutes despite Robert Lewandowski missing a penalty. Oblak: We lacked offensive effectiveness, and Barcelona hurt us from the depth

Jan Oblak, Atletico Madrid`s goalkeeper, expressed his regret over his team`s loss to Barcelona, confirming that the rojiblancos had clear chances to equalize but failed to capitalize on them.

Oblak said: "In the end, we had two chances that could have given us the equalizer, we did not earn points and ended a good run of results, we have to move forward, keep our heads up, and continue."

The Atletico Madrid goalkeeper added: "We lacked offensive effectiveness, conceded two goals, and we should have scored to win the match. Barcelona played a great game and had clear chances they did not exploit. We tried and in the end got chances, but unfortunately, it was not possible."

He continued explaining the defensive weaknesses: "We struggled a lot, passes from deep areas went through very easily. We talked about this, but with the quality they have, they managed to find spaces and caused us significant damage with balls between the center-back and full-back."

Oblak`s statements reflected the frustration after Atletico Madrid`s loss, while confirming that the team is required to keep going and work on correcting mistakes in upcoming matches.
