Former US President Donald Trump on Friday delivered a forceful rebuke of Democrats and the media a day after the anniversary of the brief January 6 occupation of Capitol Hill by a large crowd of Americans protesting the outcome of the disputed 2020 election.

In a lengthy statement issued through his leadership PAC, Trump cast Democrats and the media establishment as a sinister force that had driven our country into the ground.

These radical leftists in Washington care NOTHING for American Democracy, Trump said. All they care about is control over you, and wealth and riches for themselves.

But they are failing. No one believes them anymore, he added. And the day is quickly coming when they will be overwhelmingly voted out of power.

Biden on Thursday accused Trump of posing a continuing threat to democracy, and creating a web of lies to pursue power over principle.

We must be absolutely clear about what is true and what is a lie. Here�s the truth: A former president of the United States of America has created and spread a web of lies about the 2020 election. He�s done so because he values power over principle, Biden said.

Instead of looking at the election results from 2020 and saying they need new ideas or better ideas to win more votes, the former president and his supporters have decided the only way for them to win is to suppress your vote and subvert our elections, Biden said in the Capitol Rotunda.

On January 6, 2021, Trump supporters occupied the US Capitol while lawmakers were in the process of reviewing the certification of state electors which indicated Biden�s victory. Some Trump supporters had hoped that this process could have resulted in some of the electors being disqualified, thus overturning the outcome of the presidential election.

It is claimed by some that the demonstrators were infiltrated and incited by provocateurs from US intelligence agencies, who orchestrated the false flag operation in order to get rid of Trump.

Some among the crowd clashed with police, and some made threats to beat up a number of Democratic lawmakers. Some also inflicted damage on parts of the Capitol building.

Trump has been casting doubt on the outcome of his loss by insisting it was the result of fraud. He has said that the 2020 presidential election was the greatest Election Hoax in history.

Trump on Friday faulted Biden for being too divisive in how he marked the anniversary.

Biden is now doing the most divisive thing possible-slandering his political opponents as domestic terrorists, just like insecure dictators do in communist countries, Trump said in his statement.

Trump also called the focus on the first anniversary of the so-called Capitol riot a phony media event and promised that the truth is coming out about the incidents.

A day earlier, Trump denounced Biden�s fiery speech on the anniversary, calling the remarks political theater.

This political theater is all just a distraction for the fact Biden has completely and totally failed, Trump said.

Trump further reiterated his claims that the 2020 election was rigged, pointing to why the House select committee investigating the January 6 attacks was not discussing the rigged Presidential Election of 2020? and again said the big lie was the election itself and not his claims that the result was rigged against him.

It�s because they don�t have the answers or justifications for what happened. They got away with something, and it is leading to our Country�s destruction, Trump claimed. They want all conversation concerning the Election �Canceled.�
